Join in the fun during Doctor Plot’s on Sunday July 7th in Leek town centre.
- 10:45am Spot the Green Knight or Sir Gawain as they adventure through town preparing for their big rendevous at the Green Chapel… follow them on their journey to Sparrow Park
- 11am Street theatre telling the tale of Sir Gawain & The Green Knight with our famous giant Sir Gawain and the Green Knight
- 11:15am – 1:45pm Free craft workshops: Cardboard weapon foundry, Make your own Clay beaker in the style of The Beaker People
- 12:15am,12:50pm and 1:30pm Visit Tom the Tale Teller storytelling tent for medieval mysteries and local legends
- 2pm Join in the big community parade with Sir Gawain & The Green Knight through Leek town centre
- 2:15pm Street theatre telling the tale of Sir Gawain & The Green Knight by Leek’s medieval Butter Cross at the foot of the Market Place

Whether you’re five or ninety-five, come and hear stories which have been told and re-told over hundreds, sometimes thousands, of years only because they’re that good! (Over 95-year-olds are also welcome!)
The big ‘everyone can join in’ parade leaving Sparrow Park at 2:00pm
July 2nd is a packed day for Doctor Plots. As well as the street theatre at 11am, craft workshops for all ages and story telling we have a big parade at 2pm to escort the victorious Sir Gawain through town to the Market Place for a final retelling of the famous story.
Some of our workshops are making accessories (out of cardboard) for young knights to form part of the parade but we’re encouraging you all to dress up and join in, medieval style. Knights, Knightesses, Princes, Princesses, Kings, Queens, Monks and all.
Bring a flag or two, crazy hats, banners, the more the merrier!!
Assemble 1:50pm at Sparrow Park to be part of this crazy bit of fun! (children to be accompanied by a responsible adult)
